The diesel engine water pump unit has the characteristics of good starting performance, strong overload capacity, compact structure, easy maintenance, simple use, and high degree of automation. It is an advanced and reliable firefighting equipment. The maintenance methods for diesel engine water pumps are analyzed as follows:
1. Check the oil level of the fuel injection pump governor: If the specified marking is not reached, add enough oil (some fuel injection pump governors do not have a ruler, this step can be omitted).
2. The correct maintenance of diesel engine water pumps, especially preventive maintenance, is the easiest and most economical maintenance, and therefore the key to extending their service life and reducing operating costs. Daily maintenance can be carried out by checking the fuel level in the fuel tank according to the following steps - observe the fuel level in the tank and add as much as needed.
3. Check if there is sufficient lubricating grease in the oil injection point of the diesel engine water pump: Remove the oil injection nozzle on the diesel engine circulating water pump and observe if the lubricating grease inside is sufficient. If it is insufficient, use an oil gun to inject sufficient lubricating grease into it.
4. Check the drive connection plate of the fuel injection pump: Check if the connecting screws are loose. If they are loose, recalibrate the fuel injection advance angle and tighten the connecting screws.
5. Check the oil level in the oil pan: Observe whether the oil level reaches the marking on the oil dipstick. If it is insufficient, it should be added to the specified amount, but not exceed the upper limit of the marking on the dipstick.
6. Clean the exterior of the diesel engine water pump and accessory equipment: Use a dry cloth or a cloth soaked in diesel to wipe off oil stains, water, and dust on the surface of the engine body, turbocharger, cylinder head cover, air filter, etc; Wipe or blow away the dust on the surfaces of charging generators, radiators, fans, etc. with compressed air.
7. Diesel engine water pump unit checks whether the water in the water tank is sufficient: if the water in the tank is insufficient, it should be replenished in a timely manner, and the added water should be clean fresh water, such as tap water or clean river water. If groundwater is directly used, it is easy to form scale in the water tank, affecting the cooling effect and causing malfunctions. Therefore, groundwater must be softened before use. In the north (where the ambient temperature is below zero degrees), it is necessary to prepare antifreeze with an appropriate pour point according to the local minimum temperature.
