The
diesel generator set piston pin selection method mainly includes the following steps and precautions:
1. Select the appropriate repair size: In addition to the standard size, the diesel generator set piston pin also has four levels of expanded repair size: +0.08mm, +0.12mm, +0.25mm, +0.20mm. When selecting and matching, the piston pin with an increased inner diameter should be selected according to the inner diameter of the pin hole after the diesel generator set is worn. It is generally 0.025-0.05mm larger than the inner diameter of the pin hole.
2. Check the quality of the piston pin: The taper and roundness of the newly selected piston pin shall not exceed 0.005mm, and the surface roughness shall not be less than 0.16-0.32um. For multi-cylinder internal combustion engines, the weight difference of the piston pins of each cylinder shall not exceed 10g.
3. Interference requirement: The piston pin and the pin hole should have an interference of 0.025-0.04mm at room temperature (15-25℃) to ensure stability and durability after installation.
4. Selection principle during overhaul: When overhauling an internal combustion engine, a piston pin of standard size should be selected to leave room for replacement during minor repairs. At the same time, piston pins of the same brand and repair size should be selected to ensure performance consistency.
5. Inspection and measurement method: When repairing an internal combustion engine, the condition of the piston can be checked by measuring the height of the compression chamber. Place a lead block or lead wire on the top of the piston, and measure its thickness to obtain the height of the compression chamber. This step helps ensure that the piston and cylinder fit tightly to avoid looseness or overtightening.
